A little about me
Hi, I'm Emily!
I moved to the Black Hills in 2012, and somewhere along the way my husband and I decided this was the perfect place to put down roots and raise our two daughters. We live in the most gorgeous part of the country and ironically I’m more of what you’d call an “indoor cat.” I appreciate a nice hike, but you’ll never catch me camping. Glamping? Now we’re talking.
Before real estate, I spent years as an event planner, coordinating everything from weddings to corporate conferences. It taught me how to stay calm, keep a hundred moving pieces organized, and help people through stressful moments with a smile. Turns out, that’s excellent training for real estate — which is what I’ve been up to since getting licensed in 2016!
When I’m not helping clients, you may find me at a local theater production, reading a good book, or saying “Yes!” to some random class or community event. I’ve learned to make ribbon skirts, tried flower pressing, attended the Black Hills Powwow, and even traveled to England for the Jane Austen Festival because… why not?
I love this community and believe everyone deserves to feel welcome here. I’m a proud supporter of local arts, have served on several nonprofit boards (Dakota Choral Union, Children’s House Montessori, and Rapid City Public Library), and I’ve been a longtime participant at the Black Hills Pride Festival because being an ally and creating an inclusive community matters to me.

They’re some of my favorite traditions, and a fun way to stay connected long after closing day.
